Announcing the 2013 Hot Biz in the City Pop Up Bazaar

17 Jan

poster draft updateJunior Achievement of Greater Birmingham is proud to present the 4th annual Hot Biz in the City, featuring a Pop Up Bazaar at Railroad Park in downtown Birmingham.  Dozens of local independent retailers will offer a wide variety of items, from locally designed couture clothing, to jewelry, vintage and even tasty local produce.  This fabulous outdoor mall will be set up along the 17th street pavilion and plaza, is free and open to the public.

‘Pop up’ markets are a relatively new phenomenon gaining in popularity across the country and around the world.  The concept of the ‘pop up’ is similar to that of a farmer’s market.  Retail outlets simply appear and are open for business in a temporary space for a short time.  It’s a great way for new and old businesses alike to be innovative in creating or reinforcing brand to constantly changing audiences.  For shoppers, they are just plain fun!

Hot Biz in the City Pop Up Bazaar will feature mom and pop retailers, online stores and more from around the metro area from Bessemer and McCalla to Leeds, from Gardendale to Calera.  Don’t miss this fabulous opportunity for the most unique shopping event of the season!

Vendor applications are currently being accepted through February 15.  Spaces are first come, first serve.  Applications are available online or email jhatchett@jaogb.org.  All vendor booth proceeds benefit the Junior Achievement Young Entrepreneur Scholarship Fund.

Hot Biz in the City Pop Up Bazaar is generously sponsored by BB&T and EBSCO Industries.
